John Budion is a veteran industry talent with over twelve years of experience in the VFX and Film world. Immediately following high school, John went to work for post production house Charlex as an assistant, while concurrently working toward his college degree at New York University. John quickly proved his skills by working his way up to Flame Artist, conducting sessions with major advertising creatives and directors by the time he was 18.

Following Charlex, John spent 6 years as a Senior Flame Artist/VFX Supervisor with Rhinofx. There, he worked on dozens of campaigns for Television, Music Videos, and Feature Films, developing and utilizing innovative techniques on Flame to achieve some revolutionary VFX. Some of these techniques were on display when John demoed his Mercedes "Snowmobile" project at the Autodesk booth at NAB in 2006. Impressing several VFX directors from around the globe, John was again invited back to demo in 2008. This time he was showcasing his "Motodanica" piece that he directed and completed the visual effects on for Motorola and Danica Patrick.

Additionally, John took his talents and skill set to a different medium when he directed the feature length play, "I Love You Petty and Favre," for the NY International Fringe Festival. Balancing lighting, sound, and a cast of ten actors, ranging from age 7 to 77, John quickly displayed his knack for directing. The play opened to rave reviews, earning the "Viewer's Choice" Award for the festival.

John is an ambitious Director/Flame Artist, and has since turned his attention towards Directing Live action to complement his knowledge and talent in the VFX realm. He demonstrated this in a campaign he Directed and did the VFX on, for E*TRADE's 2010 Talking Baby spots. The spots debuted on air during and after the Super Bowl of 2010 and still continue to run today.

John was selected for SHOOT Magazine's 2010 New Director's Showcase for the Etrade "Lottery" spot that he directed. Additionally, his Etrade "First-Class" spot was Short-Listed in Cannes this year!

John currently directs through Humble Films.
