      <title>Bio &#45; John J. Budion &#45; Director</title>
      <link>http://www.johnjbudion.com/index.php?/site/about/</link>
      <guid>http://www.johnjbudion.com/index.php?/site/about/#When:15:46:42Z</guid>
<description>John Budion is a veteran industry talent with over ten years of experience in the VFX and Film world. Immediately following High School, John went to work for post production house Charlex as an assistant, while concurrently working toward his college degree at New York University. John quickly proved his skills by working his way up to Flame Artist by the time he was 18.

Following Charlex, John spent 6 years as a Senior Flame Artist/VFX Supervisor with Rhinofx. There, he worked on dozens of campaigns for Television, Music Videos, and Feature Films, developing and utilizing innovative techniques on Flame to achieve some revolutionary VFX. Some of these techniques were on display when John demoed his Mercedes &quot;Snowmobile&quot; project at the Autodesk booth at NAB last year.

Additionally, John took his talents and skill set to a different medium this past summer when he directed the feature length play, &quot;I Love You, Petty, &amp; Favre&quot;, for the NY International Fringe Festival. Balancing lighting, sound, and a cast of ten actors, ranging from age 7 to 77, John quickly displayed his knack for directing. The play opened to rave reviews, earning the &quot;Viewer&#39;s Choice&quot; Award for the festival.

John is an ambitious Director/Flame Artist, and has since turned his attention towards Directing Live action, to complement his knowledge and talent in the VFX realm. His recent credits can be seen in a campaign he Directed and did the VFX on, for E*TRADE&#39;s 2010 Talking Baby spots. The spots will be breaking on air before, during, and after the Super Bowl!

John was also selected for SHOOT Magazine&#39;s 2010 New Director&#39;s Showcase for the Etrade &quot;Lottery&quot; spot that he directed.
